I’m Marcy Rossi, a dynamic, versatile creative raised in New York, shaped by years of work in California, and now planted in the vibrant artistic soil of San Antonio, Texas. My life and art are rooted in a rich tapestry of cultures: from Italian, Scotch-Irish, English, German, and Native American heritage to stories of Mayflower ancestors, Staten Island immigrant great-grandparents, and even a great-great-uncle who founded Rice University in Houston, Texas. This melting pot of history, stories, and places infuses my work with a unique blend of grit, heart, and curiosity.

I began my creative journey early, and by the age of five, I was diving into community art and acting classes, encouraged to explore nature, and be curious about the world around. I was raised in a family that deeply valued the arts, which naturally led me to pursue higher education in music business and worship arts, fields that expanded both my creative instincts and technical skills.

Over the years, I’ve explored artistic expression across a range of mediums, and my passion for nature, travel, and storytelling often shows up in my work. As a mixed media artist, I love blending materials and techniques to create fine art that feels both vibrant and thoughtful. My pieces are always evolving, just like I am, constantly shaped by new experiences and inspirations.

I’m also the founder of Flying Pig Factory, where I get to bring ideas to life through brand development, social media strategy, graphic design, web creation, project management, and multimedia production. Whether I’m working with pixels or paint, I’m always seeking ways to fuse creativity with clarity and purpose.

Much of my professional journey has also been rooted in nonprofit work. I’ve served as Creative Director and Director of Communications at CenterPoint Church and Director of First Impressions at Rancho Church. In these roles, I led creative teams, managed digital presence, and helped craft meaningful experiences through events and visual storytelling. I’ve also picked up valuable lessons from roles in kids’ camps, carpentry, and hospitality—all of which have made me a true creative generalist with a heart for people.

At the core of everything I do, whether it’s painting, designing, or leading, I aim to spark inspiration and create beauty that makes the world feel a little more connected and alive.
